Lessons On-Line

Studying on-line with Mitch through a web cam is a great option for those who are not able to travel to one of his vocal studios in Southern Ontario.  Mitch has been one of the first in the world to successfully teach vocal lessons on-line using web cam and telephone, and is currently teaching students across North America through the computer. 

Mitch’s on-line lesson plan begins with a one-time, 2 hour lecture, in which he addresses all aspects of his Mitch Seekins Vocal Technique and vocal care.  Upon request, and for a nominal fee, Mitch can record the lesson on CD for the students to keep.

After the lecture, a student will take 30 min vocal lessons once or twice a week to learn to apply what was covered in the lecture.

(Note: vocal technique lessons should be no longer than 30 minutes due to concentration and stamina until a student has developed vocally enough to handle 45 min – 60 min sessions.)

IT Requirements:

·        PC Computer - Students must have a PC that has at least a 1.7 gig processor.

·        Internet -  connection should be high speed or high speed light

·        Web cam – get a good one! We really don’t recommend any particular brand but expect to spend $50.00 or more… just remember the better Mitch can see you the better the results.

·        Audio – can be through the microphone in the web cam, or an external microphone connected to your sound card input, or through the telephone (speaker phone required).

Note: Mitch has found a free program called SKYPE that provides excellent sound quality using the internet (webcam or mic) and avoids long distant charges.

Taxes and shipping for CDs and DVDs are included in the listed price.

 Lessons must be paid one month in advance
 Lesson rate is $35.00 per  ½ hour

Purchase 4 weeks of lessons-  $140.00

The Lecture Lesson (in person or using web cam) $135.00

A recording of your personal lecture can be burned and mailed to the student for an additional fee of $20.00

     Special offer – if you’re looking to save a few dollars, you can purchase a pre-recorded DVD of Mitch’s Lecture Lesson for $99.00. It contains all the same information that you would receive in hearing the lecture live.    

Study Aids:

Study Aids are available for purchase after students begin lessons with Mitch.

Intermediate and Advance work/practice CD’s can be purchased through Mitch, and with his approval only.  We believe that good practice makes perfect….but only if it is at the appropriate level. Trying to practice lessons above the student’s ability or understanding is not only detrimental but also counter productive! We want you to succeed! As stated before this is an art that takes time and effort, and only by following the lesson plan completely will a student reap the benefits.

·        Personalized Work CD’s - $25.00 with a vocal lesson.  (These are very handy to have as the Work CD is tailored specifically for each individual students range and level. These are prepared during an actual vocal lesson.
